disco balls for Jesus

If you know me you know that I find so much delight in disco balls. I truly believe there is never a place that isn’t made better by having a disco ball.

Corny as it may sound, I believe disco balls can be a beautiful image for what Christians have the opportunity to be.

The broken pieces of who we are and our story God can place together intentionally to beautifully reflect His goodness. We are designed to reflect His light into the darkest of this world. We aren’t the source of the light, but rather, through His beauty He has given us the ability to shine for Him.

I recently was told by someone that I radiate with the Lord’s light.

Of all the compliments I have received in my life, this one became the most meaningful I have ever heard.

Previously when I found my identity in so many other areas, I would have longed to hear those things affirmed. I sought words from people that I thought would satisfy. I fought to make my own love. I clung to things that were ultimately so empty.

Finding my security so intimately in the Lord has so radically changed the person I have been.
